About Boo and Angel
The larger cat is my Angel. I got him from the West
Milford shelter in North New Jersey about 2 years ago. He was my
angel at a time when I was feeling pretty bad. When I moved out of my
roommate's apt. and into my new apt. with my boyfriend, Angel
really missed her cat. He would walk around the apt. looking for her
and cry. It wasn't long before we knew we had to get him a playmate.
I heard about Gail's group through a vet and I knew that this was the
place for my boyfriend and I to go. Gail had about 18 kittens in her
house when we arrived. I had left it up to Tony to choose since he
had never had the chance to pick out a kitty before. We played with a
whole bunch of kittens before I spotted this beautiful little kitten
in a cage in the back. I took her out and as soon as I put her in
Tony's arms, she started purring. She sat there loving every minute
until I put her back in the cage while Tony and I talked. As soon as
she went back in, she started to cry. The sweetest, most pitiful cry
that a cat has ever meowed and we knew that there was no way we were
going to leave her there. She came home with us that day and was
introduced to Angel. She wasn't even 3 pounds but she managed to
scare the heck out of my 16 pound cat. Determined to make friends,
she walked right up to him and rubbed against his fur. For the first
day or two, he would hiss whenever she did that. She would retreat
but then come back a few minutes later for some more loving. It
didn't take long before Faboo won him over. Angel would hold her down
and give her baths and soon they became great friends. Now that she
is full grown, they both bathe each other. They wrestle together and
share snacks and I couldn't ask for a better relationship. We named
her Faboo after one of our favorite cartoon character sayings in
Animanics. She pretty much goes by the name of Boo which suits her
nicely because she is always peeking out of places and trying to hide
like in peek a boo. |
