About Peanut and Dogfood

My husband and I were expecting a baby last September
and we already had a 18 month old kitten named Dogfood. Her name is
unique because my husband named her...he wasn't a big fan of cats when I
brought her home so he told her if she didn't behave she would become Dog
Food for the dog next door. This kitty became his little shadow. She was
very jealous of even me. I was afraid she wouldn't adapt well to the
baby, so I thought getting her a playmate would help.
So one sunny
afternoon in July 2002 I went to Gail's house... and while I was there I was keeping my eye on all the kitties she
had at the time. I knew I would be taking one home. I spent about 3
hours there and during the entire time this very chubby little orange
kitty slept on the back of an easy chair in the sun. When he finally woke
up he went to play with the other kittens that were out on the floor. He
waited patiently for his turn to play and then played with Gail's adult
cat with no cares. I thought that he would be great for Dogfood. So I
took him home and we named him Peanut Butter...cause when I was pregnant I
ate a lot of it and he looks to me like the color of it.
Well, needless to say you can see by the photos that
they are getting along great. Most of the time Dogfood pretends she
doesn't like him, but she just treats him like a little brother.
Peanut has adapted wonderfully to the baby too. It is
his little brother!
